MAGICAL. Hogwarts Years: 1991-1998 Hogwarts House: Slytherin Wand: 10.25 inches, Cherry, Unicorn Tail Core Pet/Familiar:Siamese Cat: Athena Boggart: Herself, In Prison Mirror of Erised: Pansy's greatest desire is not something most people would expect. It is nothing more than a large, green field. A horse streaks through the grass with Pansy riding it, her hair flowing behind her. Patronus: Arabian Horse.
FAMILY. Mother: Camille (Yaxley) Parkinson. (1958 - 2001 ) Camille was once Pansy's idol. Beautiful and graceful, she was a darling in society and never allowed her emotions to control her. Cool. Calculating. Controlled. Camille was everything Pansy wished to be and never quiet managed. But following Bartholomew's death, Pansy saw her mother's fatal flaw. She allowed a man to be her only means of support and took no measures to assure her own livelihood should the worst happen. Still, Pansy feels a great deal of affection for her mother (not that she'd admit to it) and continues to share a modest flat with her as her mother has taken to bed and refuses to leave the bedroom.
Father: Bartholomew William Parkinson (1945 - 1998) Bartholomew is nothing but a lesson for Pansy to learn from. Her father was incapable of making the best decision for his family and instead allowed his selfishness to dictate his life. Pansy has nothing but contempt for her father's memory and blames him for her current lot in life.
Siblings: None. Significant Other: None. Pansy has no desire to attach herself to a man who will, inevitably, disappoint her. Children: Don't be foolish. Distant Relatives: The Yaxley family on her mother's side. Her mother was the youngest daughter.
PERSONAL. Appearance: Pansy did not inherit her mother's beauty. Yes, she has pale and lovely skin with thick black hair, but Pansy's mouth is far too large for her face and her nose upturns in a very unpleasant way. She would be described as skinny rather than slim and angular rather than graceful. Pansy is a perfectly average 5'5". However Pansy does not pay attention to her faults. Rather than letting them control her, Pansy carries herself with the same air as the most beautiful pureblooded witch. She does not leave her home without every strand of hair in place and her robes pressed to perfection. Her clothing is several months out of style, but rarely shows signs of wear as Pansy makes an incredible effort to keep it pristine.
Strengths: Independence - Pansy will no longer allow other people to dictate the events of her life. Following her father's death and the destruction of the world she had grown up in, Pansy refuses to ask for help. Her work is incredibly demeaning and Pansy hates it, but she will not let her disdain show.
Ambition - Intent on having the life she grew up with, Pansy will do anything to become the society darling she was meant to be. Pansy views each person in her life as a stepping stone to her end result and will not hesitate to cut them down if it means rising above them.
Etiquette - Though many overlook the advantages of being polite, Pansy knows that everything in the world depends on how people above you view you. She knows how to present herself, how to treat those above and below her and will use this knowledge to either demean or flatter various people.
Weaknesses: Pride - Pansy's pride often handicaps her efforts at a new life. While there are people she could turn to for help, Pansy refuses. She will not admit she is in need of help and refuses to acknowledge when she has gotten in over her head.
Draco Malfoy - As much as Pansy detests it, she is incapable of telling Draco no. While she has no romantic interest in him, she would jump at the chance to help him in many ways. It is something she has not been able to overcome from her childhood and Pansy detests herself for it.
Attitude - Pansy has never been able to keep her attitude under control. If she doesn't like you, she'll let you know. This, sad to say, has gotten her into trouble more than once.
Personality in 5 words: Rude, Snobby, Evolving, Harsh, Cold Likes: Having money, society, being in charge, emeralds, being the best Dislikes: working, Granger, Potter, Weasleys, working Hobbies: Riding horses, ballet (no, she's not sharing that either) Achievements: Perfect.
HISTORY. Childhood: Pansy was destined for one thing from the moment of her birth. She was to marry a prominent member of pureblood society and become a proper wife. Therefore, her childhood years consisted of countless lessons ranging from languages, dance, music, art, riding, history, literature and every other subject her mother could think of. Pansy enjoyed some of her lessons (namely ballet and riding) and detested others (French and drawing). She never wanted for anything material, but there was something Pansy always desired and never received. She wanted her father to notice her.
Pansy began to act out at an early age. She'd get into trouble in order to be noticed. At first it was small things like speaking out of turn or sassing her mother, but as Pansy grew in age, she took larger risks. Pansy was rude to her parents, ignored their orders and turned into a very spoiled and rude child. That behaviour won her no favour with her father or her mother, but by the time Pansy was set to attend Hogwarts there was nothing anyone could do.
School Years: Sorted into Slytherin for her ambition and manipulative tenancies, Pansy took her place among the Snakes. The dungeons were the perfect fit for the young girl. She was cold as the damp stone and just as hard. Pansy quickly became the leader among the first year Slytherins and remain that way.
It was at Hogwarts were Pansy met Draco Malfoy. She had little idea as to just how much he would influence her life from that part on. Draco was not an easy boy to understand. He was a Malfoy, however, and at first Pansy found that reason enough to fawn over him. After all, she was meant to marry someone of his status. In her silly childhood mind, Pansy thought that marriage was something she could achieve quickly and easily. The emotions and attraction that would, inevitably, need to be present weren't something she thought of. Pansy simply knew that Draco was a Malfoy, Draco was popular and therefor, Draco was the one for her. And so she all but threw herself at him. All Draco had to do was snap his fingers and Pansy would be at his side, ready to do whatever he asked of her.
It would take a war to show Pansy how foolish she had been.
As the years progressed, Pansy remained high in the social circles of Hogwarts. She was named Prefect in her fifth year and part of the Inquisition Squad as well. All was good in Pansy's world.
But the war raged outside of the castle and Pansy's world was about to crumble, whether she knew it or not. Her father was busy at home, making deals with Death Eaters. He would continually back out of financial arrangements, take certain families for all their worth and slowly building a fortune for himself. If he had stopped there, Pansy could have respected her father, but his own greed and stupidity got the best of him. A week before the Final Battle, Bartholomew attempted to swindle Bellatrix Lestrange. Her revenge was short and swift. His body was not found until the Ministry searched the Lestrange Manor.
Adulthood: The months since the war ended have not been easy for Pansy. The gold her father had accumulated was taken by Lestrange following his death and following her demise was turned over to the Ministry. The entire Parkinson fortune was gone in an instant. Though Pansy and her mother were found to be innocent of any crimes, their home was sold to pay off the remainder of debts placed upon the family. The small bit of gold that remained from the sale was used to pay three months rent on a modest (read: awful) flat for her and Camille to share.
Camille did not take the new of her husband's passing or their change in status well. Once settled into their new home, she took to bed and has remained there ever since. Though she is healthy, Camille refuses to leave the home. Pansy is now responsible for herself and her mother. She took a job at the Leaky Cauldron as a waitress. Though there were better paying jobs available, she knew the information she could overhear at the Leaky was priceless.
Eventually, Pansy grew tired of her life at the Leaky Cauldron. She interviewed and accepted a position at the Ministry in 1999, just to be kidnapped days before by Rodolphus Lestrange. Pansy finally caved under his pressure and agreed to assist him in order to keep her friend, Kevin Entwhistle, safe.
Little did Pansy know that her plan would backfire quite horribly. After giving Death Eaters information regarding the Hogwarts Express, Pansy watched 100 students killed, including Kevin. After losing the only person she truly cared about, Pansy snapped and joined the Death Eaters. She took the Mark in June of 1999 and has, since then, worked alongside Rodolphus Lestrange.
